Intro pharagraph

Hi,
Today we have to write our intro paragraph to our final night essay.

"To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift." -Steve Prefontaine.  In the book Night by Elie Wiesel he experiences horrible things. Instead of wallowing in his pain, he wrote it down to share with the world. He gave his best to the world, causing him to change the world. As seen in Spaz, Elie, and Jonas’s stories, people can learn from their own experiences to help transform the world for the better.

This is a rough draft.

Innovations

Dear people,
Today I will be talking about the greatest innovation that has transformed the world.

The innovation that I think has changed the world has been the idea of farming. People stopped spending their time searching for food and started thinking. The beginnings of technology came from farming. Our personal worlds used to revolve around food and that was our job. Then we started using commercial farming, less people had to work. People started to think of ways to make it easier, creating the beginning of technology. Although it took a long time to use this to evolve completely, we wouldn't be in this advanced society today if we were always on the move searching for our next meal.

Problems that I want to change

Hi,
Today I will talk about problems that were problems in history and are still problems now.
In the 1890's to the 1920's many people were trying to "reform" the country. There are three of the problems they had was Farming monopolies, education reform, and FDA regulations. These are only some of the troubling thing back then.
Monopolies are terrible because one person takes over an entire industry leaving no opportunity for others. Education is a lot better because we are no longer being trained to work in factories, but to learn and to make a better future for ourselves. FDA regulations are important because we are eating disgusting stuff that can cause us physical harm and it is not good for the environment.

Transforming the World

Sup y'all,
Today I will talk about what I hope to transform in the world. I know that is is a super big topic and it is something we all have super big ideas that would be nearly impossible, such as making it into our idea of a Utopia. But we have to think about the small ways we can change the world, cause who knows, even small things could change the entire world.

In a big way I would want people to all be nice and share, but I can start this by being nice to everyone around me. If I am nice to them, it might make them be nicer to others, and soon enough everyone is being nice, which would be super awesome. IT might take a long time, but eventually, it might make a big difference.

I like dogs :)

Courageous People

What's up, today I will talk about a courageous person I know.
There are a lot of courageous people out there. I personally think that any one with a dream that made it come true is a very courageous person. It takes a lot of guts to go get what you want and not let the world take you down.

Civil War RAFT

Hey,
Today I am going to be writing from the perspective of Union Woman in the Civil War.  She is writing a letter to her husband.

Dear Husband,
Today I had to fill in for Margret at the factory, since she was sick. It was really quite interesting, I think I might get a job there.  Don't worry about the farm,  Mary is taking great care of it. She is growing up to be such a wonderful women, and I am so proud she is my daughter. Meanwhile the boys are just yearning to come fight, thankfully they are to young. It seems that everywhere woman are talking the jobs of men, while they are out fighting. In olden days this would have been quite improper, but it just shows how this new world is advancing! It's quite exciting!! I even heard that Anna actually took over the entire publishing house of the local newspaper! Ah, well back to work it is.

Love, Gloria
